Malachite Kingfishers are one of the absolute beauties of southern African waterways. They are tiny but their vivid colouring makes them stand out and they are an absolute delight to observe as they perch above the water waiting for a passing fish or small water creature to feed upon. They are common in the Okavango Delta hence the title.
